The Story

There was a man who had bought a house by the sea. There had been a laundry in the house, so the house was full of old washing machines.

The man loved the view but he didn’t know what to do with the washing machines. Should he start running a laundry himself, he wondered.

Then one day he woke up with an idea and called a friend of his. That was in 2008.

The man got rid of the washing machines. Now the house is filled with old sails.

The Idea

SavetheC was founded by two sailors in Hamari, a small village where the river Porvoo meets the Baltic Sea - one of the most beautiful and sensitive sea areas in the world. The idea is to make beautiful products from recycled sails and other sustainable materials.

SavetheC products are for sea loving people who value smart Scandinavian design and unique quality products. All SavetheC products are handmade on the coast of the Baltic Sea.

SavetheC donates a share of the revenues to the protection of the sea.
